C-Mangos under attack
 

Dear community,

as you might have noticed the C-Mangos project is currently under attack by the former admin of the mangos project.

The point they are arguing about is that I (after discussion with the team) decided to remove the - in our opinion - irrelevant lines with some non-existing "copyright" information, and replace them with a generic line that emphasizes that a file is part of the cmangos project.

The reason for this change was to make _our_ live easier, as _we_ are the people to actually develop and have much better things todo than to spend time to care of likely irrelevant copyright lines every year.

Especially I want to note that we as the C-Mangos team have _utmost_ respect for preserving authorship rights and information.
This we started to clarify by introducing a proper AUTHORS file, and also emphasizing the _actual_ history of development (which is conserved by git, or respectively by the imported svn history)

Anyhow, we want to continue developing in the mangos spirit of an open source development community - a view that the self announced leadership of mangos seems to not hold.

To get going we await response from Github Administration, so that we can continue developing the best ways we can as soon as possible with some legal security (for both the continued mangos project and github).

I - in behalf of the cmangos team - are very sorry for the inconvenience you as contributors or users have to suffer, and i am very sad about the way the long respected members of old times decided to behave.

Edit: I cannot be sure who actually is responsible for the claim filed at github, it is possible it was salja instead of luda (impossible to tell for me)

Well, staff @ getmangos.com really reached an all time low now tbh.


They ripped appart mangos with their bombastic entry out of nowhere, and the only shown activity by them, seems to consist of mud-slinging towards cmangos.

I at least, desperatly hope so.

Oh and Schmoozerd, imho are not the people currently running getmangos.com.

You changed the copyright only in README... Salja need README its copyrights? And the copyright in the README is more important than copyright in the source code files for him? :) lol, he is pathetic.
